Mykel Winter coordinates capstone positions and instructs the capstone course.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Mykel began her teaching career at Salt Lake Community College as a clinical instructor.

CLINICAL EXPERIENCE

Mykel began working at the Huntsman Cancer Institute ICU in 2016. She has worked there as a charge nurse since 2017.

EDUCATION

Mykel holds a BSN from Westminster College and an MSN with an emphasis in informatics from the University of Utah.

TEACHING PHILOSOPHY

Mykel’s favorite part of working as a capstone instructor is seeing the growth and confidence that students experience in their final semester. She enjoys building the confidence and providing the knowledge and guidance that students need to transition into their role as registered nurses.

PERSONAL INTEREST

Mykel enjoys hanging out with her family, hitting the slopes for some snowboarding, or getting outside for a nice hike.
