Joyce University Faculty and Students Host a First Aid Station at Craft Lake City

Salt Lake City, UT – AUGUST 14, 2022

Joyce University of Nursing and Health Sciences, formerly known as Ameritech College, partnered with Craft Lake City to offer first aid services during the multi-day event. Craft Lake City, which kicked off its 14th annual DIY Fest on Friday, August 14, celebrates Utah’s creative community.

“We are always looking for opportunities to be involved in the community and expose our students to real-life experiences,” said Joshua Ray, Director of Clinical, Lab, and Simulation at Joyce University. “We’re very grateful for Craft Lake City for allowing our students to participate in this wonderful community event.”

Over the course of the three-day festival, 33 Joyce University staff, students, and faculty volunteered 124 hours of first aid. Student volunteers offered first aid services and educated attendees on how to stay healthy in the warm August weather.
