Abigail Myhre is an Assistant Director of General Education.
Abigail has worked as a nurse since 2014. Her experience is primarily in the ICU and Emergency Department. She worked as a bedside RN in a MICU and an ED. As a Nurse Practitioner she worked at a Level I Trauma Center.
Abigail Myhre participated on a committee to standardize care of patients with sickle cell disease. She also participated in Nehemiah Vision Ministries, an organization providing public health access to underserved patient populations outside Port-au-Prince, Haiti.
Abigail’s favorite part of working with students is hearing about their passion for their nursing practice and helping them to identify their areas of interest. She loves sharing and hearing clinical stories that tie together information from class with real-life patient care. She enjoys helping students connect pathophysiology material to their growing nursing practice.
Abigail Myhre has a BSN from the University of Virginia and an MSN from Vanderbilt University School of Nursing.
When she’s not teaching, Abigail loves to get outside and trail run, skate ski, camp, hike and bike. She also loves to sing!
