Joyce University of Nursing and Health Sciences Recognized with 2023 Cigna Healthy Workforce Designation™

Salt Lake City, UTAH – April 22, 2024 – Joyce University of Nursing and Health Sciences has been honored with the 2023 Gold level Healthy Workforce Designation by Cigna Healthcare. This prestigious recognition acknowledges Joyce University’s strong commitment to improving the health and vitality of its employees through a workplace well-being program.

Joyce University is committed to empowering its employees to pursue and maintain optimal health and well-being with a holistic approach. In 2021, the university’s Human Resources Department created an employee-led Wellness Committee, catalyzing a positive shift in the company’s culture, particularly concerning health initiatives. In 2023, participation in Wellness Committee events surged by 104%, engaging 25% of employees in activities like a bi-annual fitness challenges, training sessions, support groups, and daily health activities.

The Cigna Healthy Workforce Designation evaluates organizations based on the core components of their well-being program, including leadership and culture, program foundations and execution, policies and accommodations, and other areas. Organizations recognized with this designation set the standard of excellence for organizational health and vitality.
