Dr. Megan Kirschner creates, modifies, and teaches Joyce University MSN courses. She currently teaches Ethics in Global Population and Curriculum Development.
Dr. Megan Kirschner started her nursing education career as a lab tech in 2016. She has worked as a clinical instructor and taught didactic courses both online and in person. She has experience teaching online courses at RN-BSN, MSN, and DNP levels.
Dr. Kirschner became a nurse in 2014. She has experience in the ICU, acute oncology, heart failure specialty, and as a float nurse. She has also worked as a travel nurse.
Dr. Megan Kirschner belongs to Sigma Theta Tau International, the American Nurses Association, the International Association for Human Caring, and the Arizona League for Nursing. She volunteers with the National MS Society, the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, Water for the Homeless, and the St. Vincent De Paul organization.
Dr. Megan Kirschner loves watching her students process their options, reflect on previous experience, and pull from current knowledge to solve a question. She loves watching her students experience lightbulb moments and rooting for their success.
Dr. Megan Kirschner has an associate degree in nursing from Gateway Community College, a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in nursing from Chamberlain College of Nursing, and a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Touro University.
Dr. Megan Kirschner loves riding and playing with her horses, including taking them swimming in the summer. She loves playing with her German Shepherds, Korben, Dallas, and Pikachu. She and her boyfriend also love camping and traveling with her horses and dogs. She enjoys playing video games and going to the movies with her boyfriend, dressing up in costumes for events, karaoke, and paddleboarding.
