Emily Asher teaches math and statistics in the Joyce University’s General Education department.
Emily Asher has taught mathematics both online and face to face for 30 years. She has taught at Bates Technical College, DeVry University, Salem International University, and Southern New Hampshire University.
Emily Asher has been a Subject Matter Expert for Virtual Didactic, a Solution Manual Reviewer for Basic Technical Mathematics, a Contributing Author for Math for Business and Life, a Solutions Manual Writer for Malcak, Tyler & Associates and LTA LLC, and part of the Curriculum Development Team for The Transition Math Project.
Emily Asher is a member of the American Statistical Society, t, the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics, and the National Wildlife Federation.
Emily Asher enjoys helping students overcome apprehension when learning math. She finds it rewarding to see students understand how math affects their lives and careers and loves it when they see how our entire existence is mathematical.
Emily Asher holds a BS and an MS in mathematics from Portland State University.
In her down time, Emily likes to garden and ride her horse.
