Jennifer Decker is on the skills lab team, where she teaches the nursing fundamentals lab.
Jennifer Decker has taught nursing since 2005. Subjects she’s taught include medical/surgical, mental health, and nursing fundamentals.
Jennifer Decker has several years of experience with Alzheimer’s care and skilled nursing. She also worked for a year in hospice and home health. During short periods she has worked as a nurse in a pediatric nurse practitioner’s office.
Jennifer Decker belongs to Kappa Delta Pi and Sigma Theta Tau International. She ran and conducted a hearing distressing voices simulation at numerous educational facilities, and she is involved in numerous community outreach committees.
Jennifer Decker’s favorite part of working with students is witnessing their transformation into skilled nurses. Her favorite part of the job is getting to be one-on-one with students and helping them successfully acquire the skills to become a nurse.
Jennifer Decker holds an ASN and a BSN from Weber State University and an MSN with a nursing education specialty from St. Joseph’s College of Maine. Jennifer is currently working on her doctorate degree through Grand Canyon University.
For fun, Jennifer enjoys crocheting and going out to eat.
