Laura McCartney focuses on students’ aha moments: when they understand complex concepts and when they realize they are the professional nurses they wanted to be. Another highlight for her is attending hospital and skilled nursing rotations with her students, where she sees them interact with patients and live out their desire to really help the patients. She loves helping students learn how to be great nurses that give outstanding patient care.
Laura McCartney has a licensed professional nurse qualification from Itasca Community College and an Associate of Science in Nursing from Hibbing Community College. She also has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Science in Nursing from Western Governors University.
Laura McCartney enjoys playing with her nine grandkids, fishing, and exercising. She loves walks and hikes, reading books, listening to podcasts that involve true crime stories, and playing with her beagle.
