Dr. Lorna Okorowo provides online instruction to RN, BSN, and MSN students.
Dr. Okorowo has extensive classroom and online teaching experience starting in 2005. Subjects taught include Health Assessment, Nutrition, Interactive Communication, Aids Epidemic, and Psychiatric Nursing. She also worked as a Clinical Nurse Examiner.
Dr. Okorowo has worked as a nurse in a variety of settings including as a Disability Nurse Specialist, Psychiatric Nurse, Nurse Navigator/Case Manager, staff nurse, field nurse, triage nurse, legal nurse consultant, and multiple other areas of the health field.
Dr. Okorowo is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, Association of Nursing Education, and Psychiatric Nursing Association (APNA).
Dr. Okorowo holds a DNP from Georgia Regents University, an MSN from Hunter College, a BS in Community Health Nursing from Lehman College, and a BS in Nutrition from Pratt Institute. Her certifications include RN, Certified Case Manager, and Certified Nurse Educator.
