Mary Starke is a clinical advisor at Joyce University.
Mary Starke has found ways to incorporate education into various nursing roles. As a school nurse, she led the school district’s CPR and first aid team, teaching over 900 faculty each year. She also taught maturation, hygiene, and CPR to students as part of the school curriculum. Since 2019, Mary Starke has taught and mentored Joyce University anatomy and physiology students as a teaching assistant.
Mary Starke began her medical career as a dental assistant in 2018. Since 2021 she has worked as a public health and school nurse, supporting and educating students and families.
Mary Starke has practiced community outreach in her role as a public health and school nurse.
Mary Starke loves to teach and she loves to learn. She values the opportunities to learn and grow that both she and her students experience in the classroom. Working with students to help them develop a love of nursing and accomplish their goals fulfills her.
Mary Starke has an Associate of Science in Nursing and Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Joyce University. She is currently enrolled in a master of science in nursing program with an emphasis in family nursing practice at United States University, and is scheduled to graduate in June 2024.
Mary Starke is currently enrolled in an FNP program, which she describes as challenging and fun. When she has free time she loves working in her yard, traveling everywhere, and hanging out with her family.
