Mathew Pederson oversees clinical rotations at Joyce University. He facilitates hands-on application of nursing skills and knowledge.
Mathew has five years of nursing experience in critical care, including cardiac ICU. He also has five years in various administrative leadership positions.
Mathew holds an ASN and BSN from Utah Valley University. He is currently pursuing a DNP in the Family Nurse Practitioner program at Maryville University.
Mathew likes to help students take what they have learned in the classroom and combine it with hands-on nursing skills. His favorite part of working with students is watching them gain self-confidence throughout the semester as they practice their nursing skills and realize they are going to become great nurses who can make positive impacts on patient’s lives.
Mathew enjoys travel and getting to see new things and experience new cultures. He enjoys any location with a beach or snorkeling. He likes learning to cook new recipes from the places he has visited.
