Suz Hottmann is a clinical instructor for Joyce University.
Throughout her nursing career, Suz Hottmann has always found ways to teach a wide array of skills to peers, new nurses, and patients. She has taught annual skills days, department quarterly skills, recordkeeping, and new hire orientation.
Suz Hottmann began her nursing career in 1990 as an LPN and became an RN in 1998. She has worked mostly in the emergency department but also has experience in medical-surgical, ortho, telemetry, psych, corrections, surgical services, wound care, corrections, soft ICU, and hospital and department education.
Suz Hottmann has assisted her neighbors with various yard projects and is a nurse for the local church emergency response team for medical emergencies.
As a nurse educator, Suz Hottmann values the opportunity to learn new things and meet new people. She loves seeing her students learn and progress.
Suz Hottmann has an Associate of Science in Nursing from the University of the State of New York and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Western Governors University. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in nursing education.
When Suz Hottmann isn’t teaching or studying, she enjoys gardening, reading, and sitting in the hot tub.
