Dr. Taylor Hoyt is Interim Program Director of Joyce University’s Occupational Therapy Assistance program.
Dr. Taylor Hoyt has been an OTA educator at Joyce University since 2020. She also worked as an associate professor of occupational therapy at Salt Lake Community College.
Dr. Taylor Hoyt has six years of experience as a school-based occupational therapist and four years as a mental health occupational therapy practitioner.
Dr. Taylor Hoyt advised the Student Occupational Therapy Association at Salt Lake Community College. As part of her doctoral project, she developed and implemented a community occupation-based health and wellness program aimed at helping postpartum mothers.
Dr. Taylor Hoyt loves getting students excited about learning and their future careers in occupational therapy. She is passionate about pediatric and mental health occupational therapy and is an expert in these fields.
Dr. Taylor Hoyt graduated from Salt Lake Community College in 2012 with an Associate of Applied Science in Occupational Therapy Assisting. She obtained her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Belmont University in 2017 and earned a doctorate in occupational therapy at Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions in 2023.
Dr. Taylor Hoyt loves spending time in the great outdoors with her husband, two boys, and two dogs. She also enjoys delicious food and live music.
