Dr. Tracey Simmons is a professor for Care of the Adult Client II.
Tracey has been in nursing education since 2017.
Tracey spent the majority of her nursing career in ambulatory surgery, including ten years in oral and craniofacial surgery. She spent many years as the Director of Nursing and quality coordinator at a multi-specialty ambulatory surgery center.
Tracey holds a BSN, an MSN, and a DNP in Executive Nurse Administration from the University of South Alabama.
Tracey enjoys interacting with the students who are all unique and add value to the classroom and nursing profession. Tracey knows nursing is complex and she likes seeing students put together the pieces and understand the role of the registered nurse.
PERSONAL INTEREST
As a Florida native, Tracey enjoys being on the water. She can be found with her husband and two golden retrievers out on the boat enjoying the lake.
