Our RN to BSN program has no course prerequisites for admission into the program. Applicants must provide proof of a completed associate degree in nursing and have met the requirements for obtaining an active unencumbered RN license. Learn more about our general Admissions Requirements.
Our online program is tailored for working nurses and combines flexible asynchronous coursework with hands-on clinical experiences in your home community, eliminating the need for travel to campus.
Our RN to BSN degree is a 120 credit hour program composed of 69 hours of transfer credit from an existing degree and 51 hours of core nursing coursework. Designed to get students in, out, and back to work as quickly as possible, our RN to BSN completion program is offered online and can be completed in 20 months.
The program consists of 60 weeks (4 semesters) of online coursework designed to advance the skills of working nurses and prepare you for a variety of clinical and leadership positions including management. The program builds upon the foundational education of registered nurses and offers coursework in general education, as well as core nursing courses with a conceptual framework based in holistic nursing practice.
The RN to BSN program will prepare registered nurses with the knowledge and skills required to extend their practice options. Courses with a clinical component include direct and indirect client care experiences designed to provide you with interprofessional and interprofessional collaboration opportunities. Each student will complete a service-learning project aimed at increasing civic engagement

Joyce University of Nursing and Health Sciences’ Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program has been granted programmatic accreditation from the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) .
The RN to BSN Degree Completion Program has received endorsement by the American Holistic Nurses Credentialing Corporation (AHNCC). AHNCC endorsed nursing programs that have curriculum grounded in holistic nursing philosophy, theory, and concepts consistent with the American Holistic Nurses Association (AHNA) Scope and Standards of Holistic Nursing Practice.
Endorsement of the RN to BSN program by the AHNCC allows graduates to sit for the national-level certification exam, waiving the additional requirements of practice and completion of continuing education courses. In addition to applicable general requirements for admission into the BSN Degree Program, RN to BSN applicants are required to have an ASN from an accredited institution and have an active, unencumbered RN license.
